If so, what do you user for a player/editor?

I use Nero, works fantastic for me.

I don't need a bunch of features, im not a movie studio.

Nero works great for me chopping together our home movies and putting them on DVD or exporting to the web.

For anyone else needing support, COREAVC makes a great decoder, which will allow Mediaplayer (even mplayer2) to play .mts files.

FFDShow is a free decoder, but not sure about performance on it as AVCHD is very CPU heavy.
