I can remember several times when NCSU football or basketball won during my years (2000-2004) where we would roll most of West/Central Campus. Does this happen any longer? z00p.

I remember helping roll the trees by the tri-towers several times between 02-06, but I can't remember what for anymore.

the most memorable for me was the 2000 election. when florida was first announced for al gore, there was rolling, people running around whooping it up.

then it was called for bush a little while later and an entirely different set of people did pretty much the same thing. it was pretty funny.

Best rolling/celebration/riot was after the 2002 Clemson beat down that put us at 9-0. I was in Sullivan. I was a freshman and everyone was saying that we weren't legit and that Clemson was going to beat us down. We came out and gave them a beating about as bad as what Alabama gave them to begin last year. That's the game that gave us the famous pic of the CU kid crying. After the game ended we all went out onto the 11th floor balcony and chanted, then threw toilet paper out onto the trees. We then went on down below to the area in front of Sullivan, and one of my suitemates was so thrilled and into the moment that he forgot to put on some shoes. We yelled WOLF and a second or two later Central campus responded with PACK! That was simply amazing to hear the WOLF...PACK chant travel across the campus. That lasted for a little while, then someone yelled let's go meet up with them.

So the entire West campus made its way over to Central campus where we greeted with more crazy students. Some of them had climbed up into the trees and up the light poles. People were high fiving people that they didn't know and we chanted some more (N...C...STATE, NC STATE, WOLF...PACK, etc.). Someone yelled "LET'S GO TO THE BELLTOWER" and all of Central and West campus ran through the campus and the tunnels to the Belltower while chanting and raising hell. East campus and the people down at Wood Hall had no idea what was going on, which figures.

When we got to the Belltower we chanted some more until everyone showed up. All the cars on Hillsborough St. were honking and had people yelling stuff out of them. Then someone was like "LET'S TAKE HILLSBOROUGH" so we just all ran out and shut the street down and proceeded to march toward Dan Allen. At this point in time all of the news vans showed up simultaneously and some of the students jumped on top of them as well as climbed the street sign and light poles. A couple of guys began breathing fire with the aid of everclear/151. We marched down Hillsborough and turned down Dan Allen to continue back through campus. We then stopped at the Dan Allen/Thurman intersection and watched as the fire breathers put on a show and set things on fire. We then went on down Dan Allen and turned on Cates. By this time the cops had had enough of our shenanigans and stopped us before we got to Derr Track. We were all like "FUCK YOU GUYS", until they said that they would break out the mace and tear gas if we were to proceed any further.

THE MAN WAS KEEPING US DOWN! HOW DARE HE KEEP US FROM CELEBRATING, BURNING STUFF, AND CAUSING PROPERTY DAMAGE!


That is how the full riot/celebration is supposed to go. Parade through campus if you are on campus. Meet up at the Belltower until you have enough numbers. Then take Hillsborough. Proceed to march down until Dan Allen, then turn on Dan Allen. Go all the way to Cates Ave. and turn there. After that...well I guess if it's football go as far as the cops will allow. If it's a big basketball win like over UNC or Duke at their place go to Weisiger-Brown building to wait on the players to arrive and greet them like we did after the win that sent us to the Sweet 16. By this time you should have tried to find a girl to hook-up with afterwards.

Oh it was. Three nights in college really stand out to me. That night, my first Hillsborough Hike, and this one really fun night with a very gifted and blessed girl.

i was in carroll hall for the clemson 2002 TPing

our room keys gave us access to the storage room beside the RA office on the first floor..there were boxes and boxes of TP

Campus Housing got mad after the first year I was on campus b/c of us rolling the campus so often. They put in the large rolls of TP that were about a foot in diameter to deter us from TPing the campus. We grabbed TP out of the computer lab bathroom. We also broke off large sheets from the big roll, balled up one end and hurled it into the trees.

I was in Owen for the Clemson win. It was awesome.

On hillsborough street, we saw some cop get out of her car and yell at some people, so some dude jumped in the cop car, drove it about 100 feet, then got out and sprinted away.

It was hilarious.

i wasn't here for the clemson win because i was on exchange (figures i'd miss the good year of football), but i do remember the same celebration when we beat FSU the year before. there was chanting and tp-ing and a walk to the bell tower.

i missed all of these campus celebrations because i was at the games... marching band had its perks.. there were maybe 200 State fans (no band) at Doak when we beat FSU in '01 though, that was one of my favorite away game experiences.
