does anyone know of a reliable service/ program through which someone can do a month or two of summer volunteer work in South America, Africa, or the Caribbean??? I did a search online but most seem sort of like "vacation/volunteer" things that are pretty expensive. I'm looking for something legit and rewarding.

think JVC or Peace Corps, but more short-term. I speak some Spanish, Dutch, & French.
can do heavy lifting/outdoor stuff, have teaching skills, love kids.

thoughts??? advice?
