This got me thinking.....Is it possible to setup two paypal accounts, setup payments back and forth using a credit card (paying yourself) and then cash in the rewards points for that credit card after sending payments back and forth to yourself for a couple weeks?
Just a thought, probably more hassle than it's worth.....but might be crazy enough to work.
How much are the paypal fees? More than 1%? 4/24/2009 9:52:54 PM |

^ yes, and depending on how rapidly he is talking about making transfers you could loose quite a bit of money. 4/25/2009 3:24:18 AM |

The fees they charged are absorbed by paypal not the person you are paying, so you would definitely lose money.

Back early on in highschool, I would pay myself with an account I setup in my mom's name with her debit/check card. I forgot why exactly I needed to do it that way, but it allowed me to get money into my account instantly and I would in turn fill up a couple buddy's gas tanks for like 50 bucks even though i had .01c a couple bucks left and in turn use paypal for the interest free loan. Take the 50 bucks and go get hammered or stoned with it until payday.
People do cash advances between bank accounts all the time to manipulate the % cashback rewards.
