Movie tracker.

* Torrents: 8,788
* Movies: 7,144
* Requests: 2,108 (72.49% filled)
* Seeders: 63,957
* Leechers: 1,563
* Seeder/Leecher Ratio: 40.92

Gazelle codebase makes searching for movies, actors and directors incredibly simple and efficient. Torrents >12gb are freeleech, but it is a mess right now (some >12gb torrents aren't freeleech.) There have been some staff problems, but that should be handled by now.

It is very easy to make power user here (although it takes 4 weeks) so when you do make power user, you will have access to free invites to what.cd and other high-profile private trackers.

PM for an invite.

and you guys wonder why TWC is going to metered bandwidth. They gon get their money one way or the other.

even without PtP for movies, there's still a metric shit ton of legal content providers out there

netflix instant watch (in HD)
hulu
various networks' sites
etc.

why pay $80 for something you can essentially get for free (and with very few/no commercials, to boot)?

the only thing i'd really miss is the science channel/discovery channel/etc. but all the good shows always show up on trackers sooner or later

conveinently, time warner's $150 "cap" on the metering charges is about what you'd be paying them for phone+tv+internet... net neutrality my ass

I don't think evan was referring to piracy in that particular statement. I for one would cancel DTV altogether if it weren't for my roommates. I definitely grab TV/Movies illegally, but it wouldn't be entirely difficult to restrict myself to legal outlets. (hulu, netflix and streaming from network sites) Losing sports would be the biggest challenge.

why are we still debating metering? Didn't TWC disband that experiment?

I may have missed something, but last I heard they expanded it to several new regions (including Greensboro, NC) rather than disbanded it?

So I see they capped overages at $75 and backed out of the Rochester, NY test market. That was pretty quick

It'll be a few hours for the what.cd invite. I got locked out trying to remember username

And I think I only have one invite available. If there are more, I'll make it rain in here.

I'm on demonoid, it's not bad. But I can find just as much using torrentz.com and mininova.org

would love a chance to check out what.cd or one of these 'cyberguilds'

EDIT

after reading this...
http://www.paulspoerry.com/2008/06/02/how-to-get-an-invite-to-whatcd/

why is what.cd so extreme and selective regarding their users and invites? Is there really a mecca of stuff available on there that cant be found elsewhere? It just seems a little too..much.

I have just been using TPB, but I want to get on a private site. I currently do primarily TV shows that I miss an episode or two DVRing and occasionally a game to see if it will run on my weird ass PC setup.
