And now the screen is somewhat floppy, it cant hold it self up in certain positions, and recently the screen went blank.
I specifically sat on the screen portion of the computer both times.
So since I have no warranty, what is the cheapest way to get this thing fixxed? its obvious to me (not tech savvy), that there is some kind of connection that got messed up between the screen and the cpu. Perhaps I should take it to an apple store and get a price estimate, and then shop around?

what's the exact model number of your laptop? look on the underside, should be engraved in little tiny letters, probably starts with MA 5/1/2009 6:49:23 AM |

I dont see a model number, but it is the black mac book that came out right before they switched to the new metal bodies or whatever. The computer was open on a couch, and I sat back onto the screen.... now the screen wont work.... 5/1/2009 10:06:47 AM |

all you need to know. I dropped my macbook pro the other day and smashed the screen. I bought a new glossy LCD through that site for $240 and replaced it myself. it is now as good as new.
I forgot to add that they have really good PDF guides on how to go about repairing your macbook and also videos if you need them. Which are both free so all it costs you is parts.
