Allow me to explain the joke, 0EPII1, even though it's been weeks.

The chemical symbol for sodium is Na. This symbol pronounced phonetically is the same as the sound sung by the chorus at the end of the theme song of the 1966 Batman TV series: Na na na na na na na na na na na na na, Batman!

You can watch the TV show's intro here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSaDPc1Cs5U

The line in question occurs at the very end.

Stimulants interfere with sleep. Who knew? I kid, I kid How often do you take it? How is it better than Adderall? Happy to hear you've had success with it!

I'm 35 years old and just started Vyvanse a few months ago. This unfortunately has coincided with my efforts to kick my Ambien habit. So yeah, the sleeplessness is not surprising. Lol.

My son has ADHD -- it comes along with the syndrome he has. He's been on a lot of different meds, but Vyvanse really works for him. He's gone from being in EC classes to pulling out Principal's List for the year. I started reading up on the medication and adult ADHD and came to the conclusion that things that I thought were just my really awful personality traits might actually be symptoms of an adult with ADHD. There is a genetic component. I also remember as a child my mom being a hippie and not letting the doctor put me on Ritalin and go all dye free and supplements and crap.

Anyway, I talked to my doctor and took the screening test and he was like "Woah. ADHD - Hyperactive type. I don't see why we can't try a little something since it's causing you some difficulty at work." And I went with Vyvanse because it works for my son and there's evidence that what works for one family member will work for another.

I take it every morning during the week. It's really helped me stay on task at work and see things through to completion without getting side tracked or losing interest in it and abandoning it. I also think that it's helping me have a little more restraint when talking to people. My only thing is that it that it seems like it lasts FOREVER. After I got use to it and leveled out, it still just seems like the effects go beyond 12 hours. A shorter acting drug like Adderall may end up being what I go to in the long run, but I don't want to deal with the ups and downs of a short acting drug or the supposedly increase in side effects. It wasn't very good for my son and might turn me into a crazy person.

See...I wrote you a novel and it's 10:30 at night. I took my medicine by 7 am and it's still going.

I'm sure you've already done something like this, but a good friend of mine takes an extended release Adderall in the morning and then whatever the shorter acting one is as needed after that. Not sure if that would totally clear up any short acting concerns you have but an idea if u haven't tried it.

For sleeping pills I assume Trazadone didn't help? What dosage did you max out at? Anything else u tried?

I wonder how much of your insomnia is the Vy and how much of it is the lack of ambien...In any case, good luck. I definitely know how that goes. I'm trying the Trazadone now with minimal success.

Oh and what side effects of Adderall are u concerned about that you don't see with Vy?

You wrote a few paragraphs, and they've nothing to do with your medicine.

All you adult ADHD people do the same spiel when you're explaining why you take stimulants...right down to the part where your doctor says "Whoa" and everything.

I got a stationary bike with a desk on it. Now I can't use the excuse of not having time for exercise anymore. I've been using it while I do my homework. Hopefully I can stick with it. I'm sure as long as I keep it in the living room ready to be used it will be used, but the moment that it gets moved to a different room, then I'll probably come up with some stupid excuse.

Apparently the excuses to not get any exercise are better than the reasons for me to get exercise....this is why I'm fat

why don't you do something like fitness blender, etc from Youtube if you are more comfortable exercising at home? The amount of calories you burn off that bike probably equal to just trimming 300-500 calories from your daily intake.

Because when I'm home, I'm working on homework or in bed. I only have 3.5 hours at home during the day, and that is spent working onbhimework. So I d ont really have the time to do workout videos during the week. At least with the bike, I'm at least getting something in.

Or, instead of losing sleep to get another 30 minutes in my day, I could sit on that bike a pedal while I work on homework.

I get home around 5 every day. I have to be in bed around 8:30 to wake up at 4:45 am.
In those 3.5 hours, I cook/eat dinner, shower, and do what homework I can do before I have to go to bed.

You're literally doing the laziest form of working out so that you can get over 8 hours of sleep. You're pedaling your feet while doing homework...so I doubt your intensity is even that high. Should have just saved your money and flapped your arms and/or kicked your legs instead.

All you have to do is cut out 30 minutes of your day to get in a REAL workout....but you're too busy.

Ooooor....since I'm increasing my heart rate for 30 minutes more than I would be otherwise, I am getting a workout?

And I'm lucky if I get 8 hours of sleep. I'm a zombie most days, and I'd really prefer to not drive the school bus over the emerald isle bridge. Luckily I'm not concerned if you consider my way of finding time to exercise (when I would otherwise not be) to be a real workout or not.

I also walk during my lunch breaks and weekends I walk my pup on the beach and find other various ways to be active. When I wasn't back in school I had a routine down of finding videos on YouTube and doing them. Some days I have extra time and do just that.

But in my average day, I don't have the extra time. So I decided to find a way to multitask.

I mean I've lost 25 lbs over the last 5 months, so obviously I'm doing something right...

Jesus, what a Goddamn jerk you are. She is actually exercising, even if at a low intensity, and you go on being an asshole to her?

How about you get a taste of your own medicine:

Quote :
"She's not asking for advice and she has a fucking doctor.

I'm sure all the shit you read on the internet makes you more knowledgeable than these doctors. "

That's what you said to me when I was giving her advice nicely and constructively. But you are obviously better than us because you should be allowed to be a jerk when giving advice

Good job, sawahash! Something is definitely better than nothing. Walking is better than sitting too. Keep up the good work.

jbrick did speak some truth when saying tight schedules will make you have to lose sleep. Sometimes that's the only way to get everything done in your day. During the week I typically get about six and a half hours of sleep a day. But I don't need a ton of sleep. I will readily admit that some people need more sleep than others.

Also, when that little pupper gets older, turn those walks on the beach into jogs on the beach. You can multitask that way. I have ran with my dog since I've had him and it is a great bonding experience, as well as excellent exercise for everyone involved!

This underwear sniffing mother fucker.

I've either been in grad school while working 40 hours a week or worked two jobs for the last 13 years of my life. Probably averaged about 4-5 hours a sleep during that time period. When I finally established my own business enough to drop a bartending job that had me working til 3 am three nights a week...I had a kid. Luckily for me, I've been on a fucked up sleep schedule for the last 1/3 of my life, so it's not a big deal to wake up in the middle of the night several times, take and pick up my child from day care, work on my cases at the office, take my dog on a run and get in some push-ups and pull-ups, come home and make dinner while my wife is bathing/feeding/putting my child to sleep, and then get to sleep and hope to get in 6 or 7 hours if my son doesn't wake up in the middle of the night.

And somehow I've managed to post more on t-dub during this time!

I'm not saying that people who don't have a similar schedule are lazy (honestly I'm probably slightly jealous)...but I will call out an excuse when I see one. And if you spent more time working out instead of making brownies out of tree bark and dirt while jerking off to female body builders, you'd probably be in better shape too.
