I'm getting married in a few weeks and as an extra gift for my pops, I want to get him a pocket knife. I've seen some posts in other threads about Gerber and Benchmade knives. Any suggestions? Just looking to get him something simple that he can carry around everyday. 5/5/2009 11:11:44 AM |

REI over at Crossroads in Cary has a bunch of Gerber folders in stock and on sale right now. I saw them last night. http://tinyurl.com/ca95zp
If you want to get him something special I'd still recommend the Benchmade mini-Griptillian. Much better build quality, but it all depends on whether you want to spend $30 or $80. http://www.rei.com/product/787258 (You can find it cheaper if you shop around though.)

I LOVE my CRKT 6601N Pike's Peak. For me, it is the right size for everyday carry. It is all metal, so it is heavier than a typical pocket knife, which is a plus for me.
I got mine at the Mast General Store, but you can get them at REI. 5/5/2009 11:45:43 AM |
