search craigslist...theres a bunch on there (or at least there was when i was in the market). you might also pull up Peace Street Camera's list on Craigslsit, the often get D40s in and sell them used.

I have a Nikon D40 with 18-55mmVR, 55-200mmVR, and a 50mm F1.8d prime. A couple 2gig memory cards.

I def don't want to sell it, but i might have to cuz i'm moving to Boston w/o a job and need some funds.. Whats it worth to ya?

Note that my 55-200mmVR is NOT the nonVR version found in the $550 dual lense kit. the nonVR 55-200mm blows, don't even bother with it. They're different optically as well as the VR difference.

Plus i have the 50mm F1.8D which is $110.

Plus the 2 memory cards. Oh and i have nice Hoya HMC UV filters on the lenses. Those are $20 a pop and keep the lenses clean just like new. Everything is in excellent shape.

So thats over $750 new. So keep that in mind when bidding.. i'm not selling it all for $400.

oh wait, i'm trippin, dudes, my 18-55mm is not VR. Not as big a deal, i've never missed it at this focal range and this lense is optically the same as the VR version.

The 55-200mms VR and nonVRs are totally different and i DO have the 55-200mmVR.

ya know i was actually going to rag on you for actually paying 110 for your 50mm but apparently nikon felt like they should add 25 dollars to the msrp of that lens. seriously? why is nikon doing this? raising prices?

either way 3 lenses and a d40 isn't a bad deal for 350 assuming that thd d40 wasn't run into the ground.
