Not sure if a 4-year old still counts for the baby thread, but I just got to bring my little one up to NC for the first time since I deployed in early April!

I'm preggers and miserable. Throwing up everyday and when I'm holding food in I'm in a complete state of hellacious nausea.

Looking at these picts made me feel like it'll be worth it.

Amen.

I almost want to make a thread devoted to pregnancy whining. I had hoped that this pregnancy would be different from the last one, but it's just as .

We should devote a thread to pregnancy whining.

This is my first time so I have tons of questions and complaints. So many complaints.

I hate to ruin this super cute baby thread with my nausea.

It seems to be ruining enough already.

I tried to suggest a pregnancy thread when I was pregnant, but I just got directed to this thread
Good luck! Hopefully it will get better for you.

Well, my dad is taking my little one back to her bitch mother today (this was the only week over the previous month since I got home from deployment that I could get her to agree to let me have her, and I already had made plans for a vacation to Peru, leaving today).

Right before I put her to bed last night, though, she said that she didn't want to go back to her mother, followed by "I like my mommy, but I want to stay with you."

Also, she can type her name on my iPhone, can spell "stop" and knows that a stop sign is an octagon (and easily recognizes any basic shapes), and knows what sounds most of the letters of the alphabet make. She can dress herself (except for tying her shoes), and sometimes I let her cut up her own food (if it's chicken or something fairly easy). She can also point out FL, AL, TN, and NC on a map (the places where her family members live). Not bad, I think, for just turning 4 years old a few weeks ago. I might try to start teaching her basic addition (as well as continuing to work on phonetics) when she comes back up in December (I'm getting her for 3 straight weeks next time, much to the chagrin of her mother).

Oh, and she didn't eat a single french fry, chicken nugget, grilled cheese, or bit of macaroni and cheese in the week that I had her. I'd just order enough for both of us (nothing extremely avant garde, but not pizza, burgers, and mashed potatoes, either).

Doc said yesterday if we don't have babby by Friday, they'll schedule an induction.

Little one imminent, kinda started freaking out last night, hahaha. Very excited though, I've got that little-kid-on-Christmas-eve feeling going on.

Yesterday we welcomed Ellie into the world! 7lbs 13oz, 20 inches long. Cutest baby ever? I think so, but I may be biased.

It's amazing how quickly they develop their "what the hell do you think you're doing/saying" stare...

Our little guy is just past 10 months now. His sleeping patterns have gone to hell over the last week... I think it's a growth spurt combined with figuring out standing...

Of course a four year old is going to enjoy new people, new activities and going out to eat every meal for a week over the drudgery of her normal life. It's like a vacation for her. Noone hates vacation. Not saying you aren't the better parent, but just adding some additional perspective so you don't necessarily add fuel to her fire. I'm sure it's a tough situation.

Tess is 2 weeks shy of her first birthday! I don't know if this technically counts as her first snow, since it snowed the day she was born. Either way, she likes it.

At her two month appointment, our little girl was in about the 60th percentile for weight, but the 25th percentile for height.

That's what she gets for having short parents
