My girlfriend and I used to take the dogs to a hotel in Atlantic Beach (or Pine Knoll Shores) can't remember... I think the name was the Atlantis but don't quote me... it was kind of an older hotel, but not bad... 6/19/2009 12:04:24 PM |

Are you talking about this weekend? I have a house near Oak Island, but I'm not gonna be around most of this weekend. 6/19/2009 2:12:25 PM |

Last time I needed a pet friendly hotel, I just called a few hotels in the area and asked. Many are pet friendly, or at least pet-tolerant, and just don't advertise it for probably obvious reasons.
Try that. 6/19/2009 3:47:25 PM |

How long are you going to be at the beach? You could probably rent a pretty sizable beach house for a week that allows dogs and you could split the cost for the house between friends. 6/19/2009 4:27:18 PM |

<------shelling out $texas to board his dog at the vet that he goes to. The plus side is that they know him there and he's a 6lb chihuahua. He's signed up for daycare every day and they'll probably keep him at the front desk sometimes cause he's so small and they know him. I hope so at least. Good luck, toyotafj40s. 6/19/2009 5:00:14 PM |

Wife was just at the Wyndham Resort in Virginia Beach for a conference and they had pet-friendly rooms. 6/19/2009 5:23:02 PM |

The innkeeper on market street in Wilmington does, if your trying to take the dog on the actual beach your have to go down towards Kure and theres an area that allows dogs at this time of year 6/19/2009 5:23:38 PM |

Red Roof Inn on Market? street right in Wilmington allows pets. Gotta drive to the beach though. IIRC, there were a lot of hotels that were pet friendly when I was looking. 6/19/2009 6:01:28 PM |

The outer banks is probably your best bet to finidng a beach and hotel that is dog friendly...
I think North Topsail will allow off leash... 6/21/2009 6:40:52 PM |
