I agree with begonias. Seriously. Getting fired would be a blessing. Then you can collect unemployment and get paid while you look for a new job.

To supplement your income, you can also find babysitting gigs or something else where you get paid under the table.

Well Green Jay, this sounds like a situation a little too familiar to me.

You make your plans and life gets in the way. Maybe you aren't where you should be, or maybe you are. Perseverance in a difficult time can really build your strength and what better way to test your strength than in the current situation you're in. You need to know your strength, without testing it, you will never know what you're capable of.

It also sounds like you're worried, what I have to say about that is don't worry. Worrying neither adds nor takes a moment from your life, it only takes from your life's quality.

You don't get unemployment if you are fired.

If you work a menial job at a low wage, unemployment is going to be near nil as well.

You get unemployment when you're fired. It wouldn't be substantial from a PT retail job, but it's something. That's why I recommended getting babysitting gigs.

If you start dicking around at work and your employer fires you for insubordination, you get zilch. You can file a dispute and then a claim officer will be the judge/jury in your dispute to determine if you get UI benefits.

There are people who DIE everyday from starvation, disease, and war who would love to have your life. Be grateful! You dont have down sydrome or cancer and you're not a parent with a sick child! Can you imagine having to raise a family on 7 bucks an hour? There are parents doing just that everyday. There are people who have lost loved ones, wives who have lost husbands, children and parents who have been murdered. It sounds to me like you have a pretty good life!
