I just bought a RCA 32" HDTV (L32HD31R) and i've having a few problems. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Now for the questions: 1) Im trying to hook it up to my computer. I have VGA input on my tv, when i plugged my computer into the tv the screen just stayed blue (although the "no signal" on the tv went away). Do i need to do anything else? I looked online for help but couldn't find much , only that maybe i dont have a good enough graphics card. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE Graphics card in my computer. 2)I cant seem to get my tv programed to my TWC remote (model UR5U-8400). I have tried all the program codes I can find but none seem to work. Somewhere i saw you can just hit channel up to search for the codes but i have dont this for forever with no luck.
ok, those are the questions for now, but im sure there will be more to come. PLEASE HELP!! 6/29/2009 11:15:10 PM |

1) assuming you have windows, you need to go into the Display control panel and click the settings tab. you should see 2 displays there, click the one that isn't your monitor and check the "extend my windows desktop..." box. click ok, voila. if you don't see 2 monitors, you need to rescan for displays... or just reboot your computer.
2) http://universalremote.com/resources/pdfs/UR5U-8700_8720.pdf take a look at that, i think your remotes are similar... the 8400 is an old ass remote. 6/29/2009 11:30:02 PM |

What size monitor and what resolution were you running before you swapped to the TV 6/30/2009 1:13:40 AM |

You need to lower the resolution of the computer via the control panel. The computer is more than likely set to display at a resolution that your TV is incapable of. 6/30/2009 2:16:30 AM |
