I used to use it everyday until i installed pidgin. It's convenient if I'm on a new machine and need to connect up. 7/1/2009 12:14:17 PM |

I too use pidgin, but this would have been awesome back in 8th grade.
And dammit, I have a legitimate DNS quandary and I wasted my thread on some mobile IM nonsense.

I know what the Jabber protocol is and I know what Google Talk is. Though, I've never heard of this gmailchatz, you speak of. It must only be for extremely polished, refined, and mature adults.

pidgin condenses all of my protocols (i use 5 separate ones, 6 if you include facebook chat) into a single client...that is why pidgin is the best, hands down 7/1/2009 12:22:04 PM |

Oh no doubt, Pidgin is > *
I just don't know how this passed me over. It seems great for bypassing strict corporate firewalls.
^get the fuck out of my thread you ignorant troll.

yeah, meebo is great when they block the clients, or when you don't have it installed on a computer..i know a couple of people who use it all the time instead of a client 7/1/2009 12:26:30 PM |

The only thing this thread proves is that obviously the service completely passed over me in 2003 or whichever year it was put on the map.
And food for thought trolls. What the fuck do you think the integrated 'gmail chat' interface is? Grown-ups don't necessarily have their browser open 24/7 as they're using mobile imap, pushing email to their blackberries or iphones or using a multi-protocol client to sign in using the jabber protocol. I was actually hoping someone else would call you out, but I guess I haven't built that many TT alliances yet.
In summation.

It's pretty cool. I like Digsby better than Pidgin though. 7/9/2009 12:11:18 AM |
