But they got rid of Moon Over Myhammy.

If I were in Raleigh, I'd def be down for Big Ed's Greasy Goodness. Denny's is an excellent alternate.

Upon further inspection, Moon Over My Hammy is listed on the online menu. Perhaps the Merritt Island, FL Denny's just stopped offering it. Weird.

For those who've never made it, hollandaise is actually very easy:

3 egg yolks (1/4 cup)
2 tbsp. citrus juice (lemon, lime, etc.)
1/4 tsp. powdered or minced spicy pepper (cayenne, chipotle, etc.)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, melted and still hot (1 stick)

Put egg yolks, citrus juice, spicy pepper, and salt in a blender and blend for a couple seconds. Remove the center section of the blender cover and set it on high speed. While blending on high speed, slowly pour in the hot butter in a very thin, steady stream, taking at least 30 seconds to do so. Serve immediately.

This morning it's hasbrowns prepared w olive oil and reduced fat cheddar and a Diet Mt. Dew.

I was a bit more ambitious on Friday and Saturday; it was egg whites, cheddar, canadian bacon, hasbrowns, and OJ.

While I would like spinach crepes with a dill hollandaise, I will settle for beef jerky and coffee.

Breakfast of champs!

yeah, i've found the same level of disappointment with most of the kid cereals of my youth.

However, Peanut Butter Crunch is still fortified with awesome.

Reese's Peanut Butter cereal is a mouth orgasm.

But anything with marshmellow just seems NASTY now. As children, we have messed up taste buds.

"kid cereals"

It is truly sad that our society has something called "kid cereals" that are basically candy for breakfast.
My parents didn't allow that crap, and there are few things I thank them more for doing.
There is no room in a child's diet for this crap. Ever. What kind of parents let their kids eat sugary and artificial-ingredient-laden crap like this? I mean, really....

honey nut cheerios? No thanks, I'll have regular -- or multigrain.
frosted shredded wheat? Hell no, give me the original unfrosted kind, thank you.
fruity pebbles?...froot loops? Ah, fuck no. Here's a thought -- how about actual fruit?
actually putting sugar on the cereal? Oh my fucking god, just stop. Please.

Willy Nilly, would it be possible for you to ever see a comment in a non-serious discussion and not go off on some fucking diatribe about it?

That would be great.

Thanks,

Why are there no breakfast dishes that include ahi tuna?

That's a heck of a lot of liquid.

Breakfast isn't that time-consuming. You got an extra 5 minutes in bed?
