I'm astonished that no one has pointed out how Sketchie this sounds. Oh, and Webassign is a terrible learning tool that only gets used b/c it saves professors lots of time by letting them avoid doing an important part of their job (i.e. actually giving meaningful feedback on assignments).

I'm astonished that no one has pointed out how ignorant you sound. You have no idea whether webassign is a good learning tool or not, or why it is used. Both of your assumptions are wrong.

And if you don't like it, why wouldn't you participate to help make it better AND get paid to do it? Boggles my mind how rude, ignorant and lazy people are.

yeah, i don't think webassign is even a learning tool exactly. it's a tool that allows you to practice using formulas that you're supposed to be learning. i don't see why that shouldn't be automated.

Blackboard fucking sucks.

I'll admit I like webassign. The bad experiences come from professors and badly written assignments with wrong keyed answers. Some of the new stuff they're trying (when I last took this assessment) are pretty neat and are good learning tools.

I graduated in 04 so I don't know how it is now, but unless it has drastically improved, webassign is a joke.
