Has anyone used Line-X of Raleigh? I just got a new truck and want to get the bed sprayed and Line-X seems to be the best option based on my reading.
Just curious what the best/most professional shop in the area was? any stories? 7/17/2009 12:15:38 AM |

Mel over at Line-X of the Triangle on Pleasant Valley Road does a good job. He did all of our trucks at work and they look/work great. Couldn't tell you about pricing though. 7/17/2009 12:23:38 AM |

yep, he's done 6 trucks for me over the years. all have been used hard. only one was ever damaged (small chip out of the floor). repaired free of charge and has been fine since. it's definitely a superior product to most other big name liners. 7/17/2009 1:17:07 AM |

i got speedliner at a place in goldsboro that has since closed up and it's great. lifetime warranty just like line-x. i'm not sure if anywhere around raleigh sprays it. 7/17/2009 7:52:30 AM |

its not cheap thats for sure, i would definitely get the new line-x xtra, i gotta get mine done sometime, but the closest place is an hour away, and i tend to spend that $450 on other shit every time it sits around too long 7/19/2009 11:36:25 AM |

^^ Still DON
^ it was around $700 through the dealer, but I got it as part of the overall deal, so I can't say what it would be straight from them. I assume it would be a couple hundred less.

i can vouch for line-x of the triangle. i had mine sprayed 3 days after i picked up my truck. it was done before line-x ultra. i had them spray an UV coating over it to keep it from fading. i don't think they do it anymore now that Ultra is out but then it was called Ultrashield. it still looks like the day i picked it up. it was expensive, though. i paid $650 total for a over-the-rails longbed with Ultrashield and that's with a discount.

the main reason i went with speedliner is that i had heard line-x would fade and the body shop that sprayed it guaranteed me that they would re-spray it if it ever faded.
they closed up, though, so i don't know if another shop would do that. the guy was a friend of my dad, so he may have just been being nice. 7/19/2009 8:18:53 PM |

there are a lot of cheap knock offs that local body shops have, forgot what my old one was called, but it was like $200 and had a rubbery texture 7/19/2009 8:40:51 PM |

i've had about 25 trucks line-x'd with great results and zero problems. the liners are occasionally exposed to incredibly corrosive chemicals and are routinely beat up but they have all held up well. 7/19/2009 9:10:26 PM |
