I just had to reinstall autocad due to my last one crapping out/having some issues. well when that happened, I lost all of my profile information, which included several menus, etc.
I need to import survey points, make contours, surfaces, etc. I need the general menu/toolspace options/prospector tree to do this... but I don't see any of those... anyone know how to get these to show??
thanks 7/17/2009 10:45:12 AM |

General > Toolspace should bring up the tool space menu. 7/17/2009 11:03:03 AM |

there is no general menu option....
I did notice one thing... if in C3D, shouldn't the workspace be Civil 3D and not 2D or 3D modeling?? I don't have a 3D option in workspaces (could be part of the problem)..? I'm opening C3D, not ACAD As C3D
[Edited on July 17, 2009 at 11:05 AM. Reason : doing a repair on it right now. some website said it was a cui issue... I'm doubting this though]
GOT IT! I must have messed up on the initial workspaces menu and not chosen C3D (and I probably selected "Don't Show me this again")

Yea, the workspace you're looking for is "Civil 3d Complete", what menu's do you have across the top? 7/17/2009 11:11:07 AM |

I've got it now. originally, I just had the basic menus (file, edit, insert, view, etc). The problem was that on startup, when the dialog box asks you what workspace you want to open, I must not have chosen C3D complete and checked the don't show option, so I had no way of getting to C3D (at least to my knowledge). After the repair, that dialog box came up again (since all defaults were reset) which allowed me to choose C3D complete, which in turn gives me that workspace and related menus/toolspaces, etc. 7/17/2009 11:29:36 AM |
