Don't know the exact naming of this item but something that can cut off and on an ac outlet every 10 or 15 mins for 24 hours/7days a week. The one I have now is an analog and only does every 30 mins, 4 times a day. So basically only works for 2 hours out of 24 hours a day and the 30 mins is too long.
Looking around google and ebay I can only seem to find stuff that does like 8-20 on/off programmings a day at least that is my understanding of the description. when I need like 200-300 times a day. I never seen a digital one so I'm not exactly sure if it can do a loop that would allow constant 15 mins on/off.
Hopefully someone know what i'm looking for and can point me in the right direction.
also regular ac input/output. I seen some timer for air conditioner but don't have the right input for me.
I think I found what i was looking for but wouldn't mind other examples that someone know for sure fits my description. Hate to buy something and still don't have what I need.
Oh and something even better would be something that lets me turn on for x mins then off for y mins. Like on 3 mins off 15 mins on 3 mins off 15 mins, etc.....

you could always use a PLC (would have to use a relay of some sort obviously)

I bought an analog one at walmart last year for christmas lights that has 360 tiny pins that push down (or stick up) so that up was on down was off. The 360 translates to 15 minute min intervals though...
sorta like this one

EDIT: Thats too slow I guess, but maybe something like this?
Quote : | "The IGS-011 is a repeat cycle timer. One knob is for the on time and the other is for the off time. It includes a photocell that can disable the operation at night for carbon dioxide enrichment. The on time can be from 30 seconds to 30 minutes and the off time can be set from 1 minute to 12 hours. Rated at 15 amps." |

you just need an alarm clock with a 10 minute snooze that enables an AC outlet on the back when "alarming". place near room mates bed. voila, you're done! 7/29/2009 12:30:50 PM |

That IGS-011 is perfect except for the cost
Yeah PLC is possible but don't really want to go that way. 7/30/2009 12:22:01 AM |
