FroshKiller may have just inadvertently created the next "outside sales" on TWW.

Wicked Weed. Really for the beer, but their food is good too.

I didn't do anything inadvertently. It was El Nachó on the inadvertent tip.

I would like to second wicked weed. Great joint. I'd also like to recommend a The Biscuithead. Imagine a Beasley's but with better service, lower prices and dishes made with biscuits rather than waffles and are far more creative.

Another place of choice for me is the clingman cafe. It's a bagel shop with some interesting combinations. My favorite is the Boss Bagel, which is essentially a rueben on a bagel, topped with a fried egg.

biscuithead is good, but be prepared to wait if you go on a weekend morning/early afternoon, same thing for Tupelo at dinner time, if you happen to be out Hendersonville Rd you they've got another location out there that isn't anywhere near as busy, also a 12 bones with more accessible hours out in that direction. If you're drunk at 2 in the morning absolutely go to 51 grill. Bouchon is great if you're looking for somewhere to go on a date.

Ended up going to Tupelo Honey for lunch. At 130pm there was still a 45 minute wait for a table. I only had to wait 10 minutes for a bar seat. OMG. THC is now on my list of favorite new restaurants. I got the fried chicken BLT with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and it was incredible. Also got a free biscuit with jam while I was waiting on my food.

everyone gets the free biscuit, man

My Asheville short list includes:
Curate
Limones
Bouchon
Salsa's
Sunny Point Cafe (the best huevos rancheros I've ever had)

the churros and hot chocolate at Limones are insanely delicious

and we always eat at Curate when in Asheville: it's too good not to

Sunny Point is a damn good breakfast
my old roommate and I used to go on our "Big Gay Brunches" there

we'd both nurse our hangovers and bitch about breeders

other exceptional breakfasts in Asheville include Early Girl Eatery and Rosetta's Kitchen
and 5 Points Diner for breakfast on the cheapo

^^ still doesn't change the fact that I did in fact get a free biscuit.

I've never had churros before, and I hadn't really thought anything of it until reading this^^^. So I spent a good fifteen minutes looking at pictures of churros and another fifteen pissed that Raleigh doesn't have a Jack in the Box.

Then I ate a bunch of almonds and cheese. I'm still starving for churros.

^Beasley's has churros for brunch, and they are assuredly 1000x better than Jack in the Box's version. The grocery store next to Taqueria el Toro on Tryon has churros that are pretty damn good too.

My lady and I went to Asheville a couple of weeks ago. Curate was good, it was the first time we had been. We always hit Early Girl. We also went to some Rhum Bar that had pretty good specialty cocktails. Asheville is always fun, and full of great places to eat.

Don't know the name, but the farmers market restaurant (that may be the name) in asheville is good. Went there for breakfast and was quite impressed. Good prices too
