Last year, Brett Favre was the quarterback. This year, things are a little different. A new coach, a new team philosophy, and a battle for the QB spot headline the Jets off-season. After a 9-7 season, that included an 8-3 start, Eric Mangini is gone, and Rex Ryan is in. Ryan brings a new defensive intensity, as well as one of his guys from that Ravens D, Bart Scott. Lito Sheppard also comes to the Jets to hadd depth to the secondary. Of course, the most hearlded acquisition was made on draft day, when the Jets traded up for quarterback Mark Sanchez. Now, he and Kellen Clemens battle for the top spot to lead the offense. Hopefully, whoever wins the job (probably Sanchez) will lead the team to success this season.

The Jets will continue to be mediocre and live in the shadow of the Giants.

I have to say, with the exception of the pick he threw, it was a great game to watch (much better than the Panthers). It got my hopes up, which usually means they will be shot down in the worst way possible with the Jets. Up next, Sanchez and company meet Tom Brady and the Pats.

Great game today. First half stunk, but way to finish it out.

They are going to win that division.

The other teams, even the pats, look very weak.

That was a great 3 hours of my day. Hope is rising. This next game will be very intriguing. Tennessee will be going all out to not start 0-3. Hopefully the Jets can slow Chris Johnson down like they did Steve Slaton.

It was nice of CBS to switch to the Jets game, instead of the miserable Eagles game. It's great seeing the Jets at 3-0. Up next, we'll see how they can play against the best offense in the NFL. Jets Vs. Saints, a big battle of 2 undefeated teams.

I would love to see a NY-NY Superbowl...I doubt it will happen though (the Jets are good, but they aren't Superbowl good)

Love that no call on grounding at the end.

Not sure about that. Also, did that ball get back to the LOS?

That wasn't good. Up next, the yearly tradition of going to Oakland to play the the Raiders. Is Al Davis not allowed to play the Jets in the Meadowlands? I know they went there to play the Giants, but it seems like every time the Jets and Raiders play, they meet in Oakland.

38-0 over Oakland (yeah, I know). Unfortunately, Little Leon is out for the season. Shonn Greene looked like he has great potential in the future.

I have to admit as a lifelong Jets fan who witnessed firsthand the Marino fake spike and a whole bunch of other heartbreaking things I kept waiting for the SOFJ (Same Old Fucking Jets) to appear until basically the fourth quarter.

Thankfully, they didn't.

** Also, Brad Smith is dangerous. He is going to throw over the defense one of these times in the Wildcat. He's only thrown once out of it this year and teams will start to stack the box against him.

It'll come to a screeching halt next week in Indy or San Diego, they can't cover up for Sanchez against offenses like that

Nevertheless, a true fan would have posted more than half a dozen times the entire season

You bust a fat nut in the Mets thread every few days

Then again, I guess you're NyM and not NyJ for a reason

True.

But I was a Jets season ticket holder for 8 years. And I watch every game. And I yell at the TV.

But yeah, I'm a baseball (Mets specifically) fan above all else.

I mean you can ask my roommate(s) and they'll tell you I'm a bigtime Jets fan.

I will own up and admit I was wrong...but then again, not even NyM thought this was going to be a playoff team back in October:
