Anyone else having problems with this recently? Quicktime is such a piece of shit that I can't watch HD trailers with it, but they play well in VLC. I can't seem to get VLC or manual downloads to work, the direct link to the movies replies HTTP 302. Would wget be able to spoof a QT user agent?
Update, use user-agent "QuickTime/7.0.3" for hassle-free downloads

Was trying to give a look to the Avatar trailer. QT would play it fine, but not with the performance of VLC. wget -U Quicktime/7.0.3 is an easy command to download the trailers and spoof the user agent. 8/21/2009 12:45:42 AM |
