We are fostering Woody until we can find him a wonderful home. Woody is a great dog who is full of life and loves to play. He was rescued from living in a van with his 8 siblings. He needs a home where he can be loved.

From what we know, he is crate trained, however, we have been keeping him outside with access to an indoor laundry room. We do know someone who can confirm he is trained. He was neutered and had his 1yr rabies vaccination on July 29th and was tested and is free of heartworms.

He's still quite a puppy at about 10 or so months old and is certainly full of energy. He's also very, very friendly and always has his tail wagging. If you or anyone you know would like to adopt Woody, please let me know and we can schedule a meet!

it gets along great with my 3 other dogs. the one he spends the most time with is a 3ish year old pit mix. they love each other.

and he adapted instantly. no issues whatsoever when there were introduced.

^ We have 2 dogs currently. 1 is a black lab about 65lbs, one is a pointer mix about 80lbs. It costs us about $50 a month in food for both of them, so figure about $25 a month for just 1 dog, even less if you feed him cheap food. (we feed ours IAMS, so it's a little more expensive.) Figure about $100 or so every 6 months in vet bills, including heartworm prevention. He has already been neutered and has his rabies shot, so that's a big drop in the bill bucket right there.

I have 2 dogs as well in the 60 & 80 pound range. They go through a 20 some pound bag of food in about 2 weeks. In addition to food, flea/tick/heartworm stuff, also remember bones/toys/treats... depending on how destructive he is will dictate how often you need to replace the bones & toys... a couple costs at the start will also be a collar(tags), leash, harness, bed, food/water dishes, crate

And yeah, our dog's go through about 20lbs every 2 weeks as well. We buy a 45lb bag once a month, and that runs us about $40 after tax. I was factoring in bones to make up the other $10.

It's definitely cheaper to buy the biggest bag of food you can find and store it in some type of container you can seal. Before we switched our dogs to the expensive shit, I could get a 50lb bag of Pedigree at Costco for $25. That's easily a 2 month supply for a 60lb dog.

thanks for the input everyone. i'd have to really think to breakdown cost of ownership for each individual dog i have (as i have 4 including this one), so your posts really help me out and the costs sound about right.

he does have a collar, and i can throw in a leash as well.
