Got a few extra bucks to spend, and looking to learn a little more about my car than just doing oil changes, air filter changes, and brake pad/caliper replacements.

Snake oil or worthwhile product? Seems like a (relatively) easy mod to do, with noticable performance improvements. 8/31/2009 2:19:27 PM |

brake caliper replacements? how long do you plan on owning that car? Those should last 150,000-200,000 easily. 8/31/2009 2:59:04 PM |

yea, those "computers" are usually just resistors connected to the MAF or IAT sensor to trick the computer into adding more timing.
i seem to remember this being all over eBay at one point 8/31/2009 3:04:54 PM |

Three words come to mind when you start talking about increasing the timing with parts from Radio Shack...
DANGER TO MANIFOLD
Looks like some overpriced junk to me. I'm sure there is a reputable air intake and ECU flash for your car, but I doubt this is it based on what other people are saying about the computer hack just being resistors. 8/31/2009 3:42:44 PM |
