Im having this issue myself. Figured Id put it out to everyone. Theres no fix or workaround other than going to some other OS than Win7x64.
Pretty much itll connect. Allow you to reset it once, and then crap out on you. Will reconnect for like 5 secs then disconnect. Charges fine. But wont sync at all 9/7/2009 11:38:45 AM |

I had an issue getting my iphone to connect unless i ran the installer as administrator. I think they fixed it in a later version of itunes though. I would try uninstalling everything apple, install itunes 64 as admin and if that doesn't work uninstall everything again and try the 32 bit itunes install. If that doesn't work download the xp mode virtual machine from microsoft and run itunes inside that.
