Hartford kind of sucks. McKinnons can be ok. Um, yeah... that's all I got.

I lived 18 years in CT. Milford is kind of cool now, what with the harbor bars... and New Haven has a decent nightlife and GREAT pizza...

Yeah Hartford does suck. I am having the hardest time finding sports bar to watch football games at, wtf.

I have pretty much no desire to go back. I was in the 'in crowd' because I was good at sports (not because I was cool or attractive or anything) and 99% of the 'in crowd' in high school have never left the city and work dead end shit jobs and are pretty much losers.

I like the area still, though...

I miss CT. I used to go to UCONN and live in Storrs. 2.5 hrs to NYC, 1.5 hr to Boston, 1 hr to Mohegan Sun casino, 1.5 hr to Rhode Island, 1 hr to Yale. So convenient.

I grew up in CT, and in elementary school (Orange - right outside of New Haven) I swear we only had 1 minority in my grade...and she was Indian. It was similar across most grades at that elementary school, too. I think there might have been 1 or 2 black kids in the entire school...but it may well have been zero.

My wife is from Simsbury. The only time I've seen a black person in Connecticut is when we go into Hartford.

I've got a buddy getting his doctorate in UConn and he hates Storrs. I think he'd sacrifice a limb to get out of there and move back down South.
