Where they at this year? Heard one on the radio that's put together by "real Hollywood horror directors" but they didn't say the name after that. Anyways, references and first hand accounts are the best resources. Nothing worse than a whack haunted house.

I think the one you're referring to is the Hollywood Horror Show up in Snow Camp, NC. It has some great special effects and makeup on the monsters. Rightly so considering it's put on by actual Hollywood guys every year. Best haunted house I've ever been to.

There's also Clayton Fear Farm which is closer to Raleigh and has quite a few attractions, including a haunted hay ride. It's decent, but imo can't hold up to HHS.

does the clayton fear farm have a haunted house, or just a bunch of random haunted attractions....like what is the black hole? the slaughterhouse? etc

Hands down Spooky Woods at Kersey Valley in Greensboro. Its rated one of the top attractions in the nation.
