Saw my middle school cousin this past weekend. She was going on about how she is emo and loves vampires blah blah blah.

I thought that shit died out by the time I was finishing high school. When did it start coming back?

Naw I definitely remember a time when it was fading out and only a small minority liked that shit. Now apparently it's all the rage in middle school

I bet there are like 25 people or less on TWW who have a good grasp of what Emo really is. blasphemour comes to mind.

haha you're probably right. Being rural SC that would make sense.

She is obsessed with that Twilight movie and made me watch it. The dude all the kiddies swoon over isn't even hot

in my day we didn't even have this "emo" shit...we just had Goths, who were despised by everyone

but emo kids don't hate everything and obsess about death, which makes it harder to despise them, despite the fact that they dress like ^. I'm just surprised there're so many of them...children have no pride/balls these days.

The trend seems to have shifted from emo to pretending to be hookers and pimps.

seems to be like it might be a very small step between pretending and being
