that's what happens when you still use hieroglyphics instead of a real alphabet.

haha, I'm really bad at being Indian.

I know nothing about diwali, except that it's a Hindu thing. like maybe their equivalent to christmas (in the celebratory sense).

Disclaimer, i'm from the Indian equivalent of Alabama. Culturally, we're like the rednecks of India.

if my customer at work is any indication, apparently the entire months of August, September, and October are India's Christmas Day. Anytime we inquire about the status of any pending issue, its always delayed by "too many holidays this week".

Quote :
"Deepavali is celebrated as the homecoming of Rama after a 14-year exile in the forest and his victory over Ravana at many places of India and Nepal.[3] The people of Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) welcomed Rama by lighting rows (avali) of lamps (dipa), thus its name: dipawali."

Happy Diwali!

I spent over 3 years working in the Indian community as a nanny. Their families from home would always call on Diwali.

My kids performed in that festival in Cary. The boy was dressed in Indian clothes and the girl in Japanese.
