wanted to try seafoam, never done it before in this car. 97 acura cl, 3.0, with 218K miles on it. its showing the egr insufficient flow code, but will just pouring part of the can in the gas tank do anything at all? im not car savvy enough to mess with sucking it through the brake lines. 10/18/2009 5:48:26 PM |

i saw that thread. ok so when it says pour 1/3 into the engine, you just pour it straight into the same place you pour in oil? and all you have to do is just put your brake booster line into the can and rev up the engine and it sucks it right outta the can?
but i've also had someone tell me it's not worth putting it in your car, has anyone ever had a bad experience with seafoam? 10/18/2009 6:02:33 PM |

do not put the line into the can. the car needs to suck in air as well as the treatment. 10/18/2009 6:06:33 PM |

ok so last question, if i just pour some into my gas tank, and then some into the engine without putting it through the brake line (since im not 100% sure how to do that properly) will that still be effective? 10/18/2009 6:08:18 PM |

don't put it into your oil, unless you are getting it changed afterwards. 10/18/2009 9:20:10 PM |
