As much as I hate to admit it, it's gotta be Candy Corn. And you're only cool if you eat it in sections.

The pumpkins are good too.

I don't really think there's any other halloween candy I specifically like, I just like getting more than normal amounts of regular candy.

WAT?

I didn't think anybody actually ate those. They're to Halloween what fruitcake is to Christmas.

It's not candy, but pumpkin cheesecake is insanely good. Almost sinful.

I like the special Halloween-shaped chocolate things, with eyeballs and fingers and stuff. Except the candy in those is never quite as good as the normal stuff.

So, when I was a kid, the little old ladies in my community would make their own Halloween treats. Popcorn balls were a popular favorite amongst little old ladies. I like cinnamon popcorn balls.

Cinnamon Popcorn Balls Recipe
12-13 cups of plain or salted popcorn
1 cup of sugar
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/3 cup of red cinnamon candy
2/3 cup of water
1 tablespoon of vinegar

Step by Step Directions:
1. Take out all unpopped kernals from the popped pop corn.
2. Grease a 17x12 inch pan, make sure the pan is not too deep.
3. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F and place the greased pan with the popped corn in the oven to keep it warm.
4. Butter the sides of a sauce pan.
5. Combine sugar, salt, water, vinegar, and red cinnamon candies in sauce pan.
6. Boil the ingredients on high, be sure you are constantly stirring the mixture to be sure the ingredients dissolve. (this should only take about 5 minutes.)
7. Keep liquid over heat so that it doesn't harden.
8. Remove saucepan from heat and pour the cinnamon mixture over the popcorn balls.
9. Use a flat wooden spoon the get the mixture all over the popcorn balls.
10. Wait until the popcorn is cooled down, then butter your hands and start forming the popcorn balls. Wrap in plastic wrap until they are ready to be eaten.

How are those "Halloween candy"?

The original post says, "What's your favorite Halloween candy???"

candy corn, pumpkins, cat peeps, etc. are certainly Halloween candy... but snickers?

I would imagine eating those would be tricky. Sounds good though.

I'm going to show up at qntmfred and punchmonk's house and demand some candy.

^ I would say any candy counts. They change their wrappers for Halloween

Heart-shaped chocolates?
Cadbury creme eggs?
Candy canes?

No.

Regular non-themed candy that changes their wrapper for Halloween, I guess should count, but not any candy...

^
Yes, because that's specifically made for trick-or-treating.

That is certainly one of the best candies ever made, but is it a Halloween candy?

I, without even knowing for sure, will assert that NO house gives out those to trick-or-treaters...

If they did... just wow.

It's a disgusting chocolate dessert with an orange essence. You whack it and the chocolate orange slices fall apart.

I just bought 2 bags of these individually wrapped (in little bags of like 10 fish) for the office. I put one bag out for the customers, and put 1 in my filing cabinet.

I used to eat Take 5 bars all the damn time. Hadn't had one in years but decided to buy them when I saw the fun size bag at CVS. I forgot how damn good they are. I think I am hooked again.
