For sale, 1995 Toyota Corolla with 94k miles and automatic transmission. Four door sedan with huge trunk. Its a nice little car, of course not perfect but in decent condition for it's age and is extremely reliable. The battery is less than a year old. Its a tan color, and the paint is pretty good, save for a nick here and there. The inside is in decent condition for its age. Air conditioning is cold and works well. The fan belt squeaks a little when it gets cold but stops squeaking after driving a block or two. It has a small trailer hitch, which would be suitable for a bike rack or a small trailer (less than 1,000 lbs.) No On-Board Diagnostic system (OBD systems standard in 1996 and on) to deal with, so no annoying and expensive repairs for oxygen sensors or having a bunch of engine lights going off for a loose gas cap. Gas mileage in around 28 city and 34 highway.

It has two minor deficiencies. First, it needs one tire. The tires are inexpensive only like $50 installed (new) so it should be no big deal. I currently have the spare on it. It is also missing one hupcap, I got a set of Honda Echo hubcaps off E Bay to update the look, they are only $15 a piece if you want a matching set. I am not the first owner, I bought it from an N.C. State Ph.D. student who had owned it since it had 44k miles. He took pretty good care of it, which is why I bought it. Great car for a student or someone looking to save some major $ on fuel consumption. Price is pretty much firm, you don't get many quality, relatively low-mileage cars in this price range.

$2400

The first owner lived in Philly and kept it in parked in a garage and used it for trips. Second owner was an NCSU grad student who lived in Wolf Village and walked everywhere, used it for trips. I planned on doing the same, but I just don't need it anymore.

$2400? Haha, you didn't have a price there before, I was a bit off. Good cars though.

not quite. it still has obdI, and still has an o2 sensor and plenty of other sensors. you're referring to the more sophisticated obd II.

the most important thing to note is that since it doesn't have OBDII, it is much easier to get it to pass inspection

Thanks for the clarification. Price drop to $2200 (based on the tire and fan belt squeak).

I had a 99 maxima w/ 40k when I bought it 2 years ago.

Try to find little old ladies who never drive then buy their car.

My '81 corolla had 44k when I bought it in 97. Had been garaged, whole 9 yards.

Turns out it was because the engine had blown, and it had sat around for a few years unrepaired. I found this out when the not-completely-fixed engine ate a piston, and I had to have it rebuilt.

After that, it was a fantastic car.

Caveat Emptor.

Well, you have to remember, for every 10 emails you get from craigslist, one of those might be willing to talk to you on the phone. Getting someone to actually show up with cash is rare.

Same day, within 30 min or so of each other from same angles with an iPhone. Same cars in background.
