4 hour concert with performances by:

The Boss
Stevie
Jeff Beck
Clapton
Metallica
Simon & Garfunkel
CS&N
Sir Mick Jagger
Sting
Billy Joel

I saw a teaser today. S&G sounded great! Stevie and John Legend did "Mercy, Mercy Me" and it was great. Really looking forward to see what Metallica does.

so you have a problem with Metallica being at a Rock 'N Roll HOF concert? Why they are in the HOF shouldn't they be allowed to perform? To me they have done more for rock music than Stevie Wonder who is more a soul/R&B singer.

^^ I agree, because R&B/soul has nothing to do with rock 'n' roll, except for that whole "being the foundation of the entire genre" thing.

so your saying just because you don't like Metallica or the Heavy Metal genre they shouldn't be allowed to perform.

Heavy Metal is a part of rock 'n roll.

I know the rock 'n roll genre is founded on the principles of R&B but it did diverge from that genre, don't get me wrong I think everybody on the bill deserves to be there, but people saying Metallica doesn't belong are nuts. They have been around since '81 and are still making music, not many Metal bands can say that.

but dont argue with vinyl. he knows EVERYTHING about music and your opinion, if different than his, is wrong

BTW, had a friend who went to the show. She said Simon & Garfunkel are by far the highlight.

FINALLY!!!

I swear on everything I hold dear, Bruce Springsteen is the greatest stage presence in music.

What she said.

When Art Garfunkel nailed the end of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" that was breathtakingly good.

What an ending: the greatest song ever written, performed by my two favorite artists of all time. (though Billy Joel was clearly out of his element)

Whole thing was pretty good.

^ Yeah, that was a top 5 moment for me, for sure.
