I've been working on this off and on over the summer, but I'm out of time, and I want it finished before winter.

That chunk of land is owned by the HOA. The area of trees behind that belongs to someone who already has a house built on the land, but it's way out of sight.

yeah, during those times of the year, we refer to the yard as the cornhole court.
