They need a pic of one that isn't wearing shitty ugly wheels.
So when are they going to come out with an Eco-Boost Fusion. It'd be nice to have that engine in something that's not a bloated overweight boat. 11/17/2009 10:59:58 PM |

Always seemed like a nice car to me, but I've never ridden in one.
I chopped my POS taurus up with an angle grinder today. No way in hell am I going to waste hours of my life changing a heater core that should have been designed for easy access.
Dumbass American engineering. I'm sure this car is filled with it too. It's not like Americans are getting any smarter. 11/17/2009 11:02:42 PM |

on a related note... i got picked to be team captain in an upcoming ford fusion promotion thing (similar to that fiesta movement) called fusion 41. ford is flying me and some team members up to Dearborn on Friday. 11/18/2009 12:33:27 PM |

I just had one of those cars as a rental a few weeks ago. Was not at all impressed.
It has the fit and finish of a cheap truck. The seats were uncomfortable. The dash, trim, and shifter reminded me of a Tundra I had been in recently. Controls were not in easy to find places. If you needed to push any button down the center of the dash you had to bring your eyes way to far off the road and hunt through the crowed mess of buttons.
Operating the trunk was a pain in the ass. On my car you "pop" the trunk and it raises up off the deck and is easy enough to lift with your pinky with bags in your hand. This one I couldn't even tell was open and required unnecessary force to lift. I made the mistake of attemping to lightly close the trunk with my hands full of grocerys only to find that it went half way down and then raised back up. WTF - it wouldn't open when I needed it to, and now it wont close????
cheap cloth seats, cheap door trim, cheap dash material, lacking any sort of comfort you would expect from a car.
However if you are making the switch from a ford truck to a car you might be completely satisfied with it....anyone else will spend about 2 days in this car to find out that their initial reaction to the shinny interior and exterior chrome bits was about the only thing this car had to offer.
Gas mileage was also less than impressive (again unless of course you are making the switch from a ford truck) 11/19/2009 6:01:11 PM |

^I doubt the interior materials are different with different trim levels, or that the trunk mechanism is different, or the button layout is different... 11/20/2009 8:55:46 AM |

the interior materials or at least the coatings used are usually different. cheap models = plain plastic, high end models = chrome, woodgrain, painted, etc. not that it'd probably make much difference to most people
although the layout is the same..and everything else 11/20/2009 8:59:32 AM |

WHY THE FUCK CANT YOU PEOPLE SPELL CAMARO?11/24/2009 8:17:16 PM |
0EPII1 All American 42541 Posts user info edit post |
OK, here is a question:
Given a choice of any one of those cars for free, which would you take?
For me it is down to
Z4 Camaro (V8 only) E-Class Coupe (AMG only) 370Z Panamera Golf GTI
I would ideally take the 370Z or the Z4 (35i model), but since I have a family, I would be forced to go with the Panamera, as it is the best 4-seat performer in production, and not just among the ones in the list. 11/24/2009 8:36:39 PM |

370z hands down for me
panamera should have been the obvious choice but I just cant get over how ugly it is 11/25/2009 9:05:29 AM |
TKE-Teg All American 43410 Posts user info edit post |
^^^how fucking stupid are you?
^^That's a tough call. Umm, what model Panamera is it? If not the Turbo then I'd probably go with the 370Z w/Sports package.
^Have you seen one in person? B/c I think it looks a lot better. Yes I'm a Porsche homer, but I thought it was ugly till I saw one.

^ Yeah the Turbo model would be ideal, but even the base model (S/4S) has 400 hp and does 0-60 in 5 sec or under and I am sure is a sick performer on a track (relative to any other 4 door car, and relative to many 2 door cars as well).
But without a family, yeah 370Z would be the best! 11/25/2009 4:51:48 PM |
