Been thinking about getting a set for Christmas. I was just wondering if anyone had any good, mid-range priced options? I think I'm looking at getting 100mm size, with 4 colors. Not sure about the inside of these things though. I'm looking at a water-filled ball or molded. Can't decide. Any ideas? 11/23/2009 10:37:49 PM |

I always liked the feel of the eddie bauer set that a friend of mine had. I'm no bocce aficionado or anything, but of the various sets i've played with, that one seemed to be the best.
no idea where you get it or how much it costs. I'd guess target would carry it given all of the other eddie bauer stuf they sell. 11/23/2009 10:43:22 PM |

I second teh Eddie Bauer set. I got that a few years ago, heavy, solid, only 2 different colors though... so I don't know if thats what youre looking for. It's heavy, but really solid and really nice. 11/23/2009 10:44:52 PM |

We've had the same set for about 20 years...glad to see this has picked up in the United States. Used to love playing as a kid. 11/23/2009 11:09:15 PM |

we got a set from sports authority that was like $90 and had some deal running on it, plus a coupon so it ended up being like $75. i think you can def tell the difference between a nicer set and a cheapo $30 set. so if you're planning on playing more than a few times, buy quality. 11/23/2009 11:41:25 PM |

We bought a set from walmart or somewhere for like $25, I think sportcraft. They are actually very solid and reliable. We've had them for probably 5 years with lots of playing and they are still in great shape. I understand the want of nicer ones, but for 1/4 of the price it's worth thinking about 11/24/2009 12:07:20 AM |

I think the EddieBauer set at Target is $50 or $60 dollars, saw it like a week ago at North Hills. 11/24/2009 3:07:06 AM |
