I've traveled with drawing supplies (graphite, charcoal, conte, etc.) in the past with no problem. But I'm not sure about pastels. I have a case of 72 i'd like to fly with, anyone here have experience with this?

My guess is it won't be a big deal. But I'm not planning to check bags and I don't want to get hung up at the gate.
