i refurbish a whole lot of computers, and i also test and resell tons (literally!) of random accessories. every time i get a driver, i save it. so, i've got thousands of drivers for 2ks, xp, vista, and 7. some are easier to get than others (all the dell drivers), some were a pain in the ass (like toshiba europe). i've also got some of the "100k driver" dvds and stuff like that, and use those some.
anyways, here's what i'm wondering. do any of those "driver finder" programs actually work? i usually just research the hardware id and find what i need eventually, but i've still got a few devices that i can't test fully (right now some nomad zen mp3 players). those programs seem like malware, but i'm considering using one so i don't have to sell off all this stuff "as-is" for cheap.
any suggestions? 12/8/2009 10:29:34 AM |
