Only if they bench or do squats

With standard curls, flys or pulldowns, it shouldn't be an issue

have your dog foam roll and stretch.

make sure he's getting enough water, rest and sleep

well the truth is, i want my dog to be sore and not want to move around much during a party we'll be having.

if dogs are susceptible to DOMS, then I will work him really hard two days before the party... if not, i won't bother.

^ I'm pretty sure any animal with muscles will get DOMS. Just run him really hard the day before, or do something with him that he isn't used to doing.
