Chargers vs. Saints

Rivers vs. Brees

The game will be a shootout, something like 48-45. Kaeding is the x-factor.

My prediction is that it doesn't matter who the opponent is, football Jesus will reign supreme and will save us from the end of the world in 2012.

During work today one of my co-workers actually mentioned this possibility. Think it is possible if NO can not shape up. The other AFC possibility is peyton manning outscore the chargers or the pats somehow turning on fire for the playoffs which is not unheard of.

No one could beat the Colts when Peyton and the starters were playing full games. I don't see why it will be any different in the playoffs.

^^Chargers haven't played the Colts and they have knocked them out the last two times they met?

And its not like the Colts were blowing people away.

LOL at packbryan's bandwagon homerism again here with the Saints, they are sucking now.

[Edited on December 29, 2009 at 4:50 PM. Reason : Favre comes from behind on the final drive to seal his legacy, finally rides off into the sunset.]

Although I'd love to see Rivers in a SB, December is over and the Chargers aren't perfect in Jan.

I'm going with the safe bet and pick the Colts over the Saints.

i've won 2 out of 4 of my FF leagues this year, with a third win imminent. i average 1 FF championship out of every 3 leagues i join. i am dominant.

but, never ever have i guessed even one of the SB teams correctly. and i almost always get the winner of the SB wrong going into the game.

Game I want to see:

Chargers versus Saints

Game I predict:

Colts versus Eagles

Colts will win the Super Bowl unfortunately. No hate on Manning, but the Colts are like the Spurs, i.e. fucking boring to watch and follow.

Saints won't even make it to the Super Bowl. Everyone is forgetting that they are the Saints. Some things are not meant for certain teams.

How exactly is arguably the best QB of all time boring to watch?

Cause I could care less about seeing the Colts in the superbowl again with Eli jacking off his brother Peyton as a superbowl victory gift.

^^ Like I said no hate on Manning. I don't mind watching him change plays and basically coach the offense, but the Colts as a team are boring to me because the players and coaches are all so clean cut and buttoned up.

If I was a Colts fan, I'd love this team, but as a general fan of the NFL I do not think they are as entertaining as the Chargers or Saints or Vikings or even the Packers. Plus the Colts already have a recent championship and I want to see Rivers and SD in the Super Bowl.

Duncan's teams rely on defense and are not high scoring.

Peyton's teams are very high scoring and attack quickly.

The Colts /= Spurs.....the Colts are more like the Suns.

I think it would be tough to justify anyone over the chargers and eagles unless the saints have just been sandbagging the last few weeks. They'll be tough to beat at home esp if they get the ground game going but the eagles have just as many weapons as the saints do

As much as I hate them, you cannot sleep on a Brady/Belichik team in the playoffs

I just hope the Steelers miss the playoffs and the Cowboys don't win a game

The Patriots will not sniff the Super Bowl this year. They have no pass rush or ground game. They won't be able to get to Peyton/Philip or sustain drives long enough to keep the Colts/Chargers offense off the field.

Don't know what to think after the Cowboys beat the fuck out of the Eagles in that last game.

I don't have it in me to pick Romo and the 'Boys going far...but I don't know who else to go with. I guess it really opens the door for the Packers...or maybe the Cardinals to make another miracle run.

Bengals vs. Vikings

Ochocinco scores 5 TDs and gets MVP, ascends to the heavens after the game, Favre dies in the 4th quarter, and all this is played during a hurricane.
