i keep getting the error window that it did not properly shutdown/quit correctly and asks if i want to start up in safe mode or not or cancel.
if i click yes, everything of course blows up because the resolution changed. but it does the same thing as not starting up in safe mode. and that is that the main logo comes up with the guy and his gun and the title (which takes up a portion of the screen) but instead of then going into the games intro, a black square takes up the bottom right portion of the screen. it pretty much froze the game in its uploading but i can still do anything. my computer isnt frozen just the game.
anyone have any comments? 12/29/2009 7:28:33 PM |

Hey, I have a few questions for you about your "computer game error".
What game is it?
OS/system specs?
What's the resolution that you're running it on?
Does the graphics card support this resolution?
Does the game support this resolution?
Do you have the latest graphics card drivers?
Is this a legit copy of the game?

Its call of duty MW2. I have the same problem running win XP. I am beginning to think its a Steam problem. The problem first started for me when my internet cut out while playing the game. I don't think Steam liked me loosing connection like that. Datman, i know you tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, but try uninstalling Steam as well. When you reinstall it make sure you have all the updates for both the game and Steam. 12/30/2009 7:06:59 PM |
