I highly recommend it. They're apparently spread all over the country, but none in NC, yet. 1/4/2010 11:03:34 AM |

never been to Fatburger...but this is way better than In 'n Out, Cookout, Char-Grill, or wherever else (I like all 3 of those, but this is a step above). The only thing I can think of that comes close is Fat Daddy's/Fuddruckers. Whattaburger doesn't even belong in this thread...that's like the same class as, say, Sonic.
Smashburger is a sit-down restaurant. There's no drive-through or anything, at least at the one I went to. You'll pay $10-11 (more if you get a shake or whatever). 1/4/2010 11:12:53 AM |

eh, there's a lot of variance with Whattaburger from what i've found.
i've only ever had it in texas, the one i stopped at in houston was shit, but the one i visted a lot in laporte was the jam 1/4/2010 11:16:25 AM |

i doubt they fry the fries in truffle oil
they probably toss them in truffle oil when they're hot out of the fryer 1/4/2010 11:18:48 AM |

you know, i thought that too, considering the price of truffle oil and the volume needed/turnover.
maybe they lie on the menu.] 1/4/2010 11:20:31 AM |

As far as menu truth goes, if there is any truffle oil in the frying oil, they can say that it was fried in truffle oil.
They do not fry their fries in pure truffle oil, or their entrees would be a lot more than $30.
I still want to go to the place in Chicago that fries theirs in pure duck fat. That has to be some good shit. 1/4/2010 12:47:12 PM |
