they typically ran with a crew of right around 400. I'm not sure what a skeleton crew complement would be.

no... warp 10 is infinite speed. the borg cannot travel at an infinite speed.

the enterprise from the next generation was ncc 1701-D I believe

ncc1701-C was talked about in yesterday's enterprise and I assume ncc1701-A was the original series so have they ever said anything about B?

While warp 10 is infinite speed, the fake techs I listed allow for travel faster than any ship traveling at warp. Learn to watch voyager. Ship was always trying to travel faster. They explored transwarp and quantum slipstream among other things to travel much faster than the theoretical warp limit.

Granted there are also many occurrences in ST where they arbitrarily change what a warp factor means in terms of speed. So it doesn't really matter.

right... those things are not being debated. you said, however, that they were able to move faster than (24th century) warp 10, which is infinite speed.

i don't care what technology you use, you can't go faster than infinite speed.

^^^^ fair enough.

But it is also true that the show has said a couple times that there are speeds above warp 10. This is to say that the technobabble fails all over itself at times. But, we all knew that.

i reckon so, but i'd say it would have more to do with the route the ship took than the speed.

Star Trek does it all of the time. Read the above mentions of warp 10 being a concrete limit and then having ships going warp 14.

However, what Enterprise did was genuinely ridiculous. Pretty sure the first two seasons were all about some crazy "temporal cold war" aka we do whatever we want.

^^^The temporal cold war aspect of Enterprise was pure shit. That's why it failed. There should have been LOADS of material showing Earth's first real reaches into the galaxy before the federation, but no... they did some fucking time travel bullshit.

just like voyager did.

I'd like to see a series on a Daedalus class ship.

^^no he wasn't. that was an alternate timeline created by Q.

best thing that came out of it....well there really was nothing good that came out of it. Only Hoshi Sato, and she hasn't been in anything since.

People have to care in order to see it happen. They stopped caring. P'mount has to be shown that they can make mad cash on it, and they can't if the ratings suck.

This gentleman has created an alternate universe of TNG by recutting episodes:

http://www.youtube.com/user/GeneralGrin

The result is amazing and hilarious, but you will probably not "get" the jokes unless you've watched the show.

Also, it is a continuous series, so make sure you watch all of them.

In the new Star Trek movie, Uhura orders a Cardassian something drink at the bar, even though the Cardassians were discovered in TNG! wtf is going on here?

And don't give me that alternate universe BS, this happened before any time travel shenanigans

Cardassian sunrise i believe is what she said

and yea, when they did that movie they got the 'ok' to change the timeline a lot..so there's no telling. i can't really remember though when they discovered them. i know tng was the first one i remember actually showing much interaction with them though.

Actually the episode in TNG wasn't really the first contact. It was only the first time the Cardassians were featured on the show. They made first contact sometime more likely around the mid 22nd century. They were just all backwards and shit.

There is evidence of a cardassian living on Vulcan during the 22nd century...
