We should win this one. UVA is down this year again, especially with a 1st year coach. We just need to maintain our level of play, good defense, and decent shooting, and we ought to come out with a win. A good home court advantage won't hurt either.

this is going to be such a frustrating, slow, grind it out, low scoring, poor shooting, etc. type of game

granted, Bennett doesn't have his pieces in place yet, but his calling card is methodical offense and insane defense.

his WSU teams consistently led the PAC-10 in overall defense and were near the top in the nation.

(God, I remember those WSU vs. ASU games....disgusting to watch)

UVA beat UAB and are clearly playing their best ball thus far. Bennett is a good coach and you can tell that they are getting better as this season progresses.

We obviously need to win this game, but I have zero faith that we will. NC State shit will prevail. How the hell did UVA lose by 17 to USF though? WTF? I am thankful that this game is at home because that may be the difference. And yes this game will likely be an embarrassment to basketball in terms of entertainment.

they have 4 losses. the USF game is disgraceful but understandable, considering it was the first true game of the season. the other three losses were by a grand total of 9 points.

a few bounces go in their favor and they're an 11-1 team

This is the first ACC game. It would be a good stage to debut some new features. I think that, starting this year, we should rid ourselves of the little band that plays in the corner and instead by the first acc team to go with a soud system like in the NBA, with loud rockin music whenever we can have it.

hell yeah we need to step it up in the music/video department. a little bit of pep band is cool every now and then (fight song, red/white, alma mater, Apache) but we really need to play some Jock Jam shit and some hip hop shit on the PA.

keeps the crowd awake, keeps the recruits entertained, makes for an exciting atmosphere, puts the speakers to good use.

did anybody see CoC's win over UNC? those motherfuckers played nothing but late-90s and early-2000s top-40 hip hop and it sounded fucking great. that music plus the intensity of the game was some insane shit

fuck it, let's get a mini laser light show too. and yes, i'm being serious. Sid gets recruits by promising them an NBA-type experience....well, look at the NBA. they all have loud, uptempo music and great video on the jumbotron

Last I checked, NC State was a college team, playing other college teams, in a college game. Theres already too much crappy music played over the sound system as is. Besides, that "little band" has probably accounted for half the students in the building for the past few games...at least they go to the games.
I would like to see the band be miked, however, since most of our fans have a hard time clapping in tempo.

They used to be miced when the RBC opened, but that disappeared after a couple years. I'm not sure if it was ever heavily used in the actual bowl but I know it was heard coming in the doors, which I always thought was nice, not sure why they took that away.
