The NCSU Libraries are open to the public* so anyone can visit and access books. Some services are supported by fees, but not close to enough offer universal service. Staff positions to support services like tripsaver (someone has to handle all of those transactions and make sure the books and articles get to the person who requested them) wouldn't be covered by fees either.

Fortunately you have a few options!
1) Sign up for classes and become a former alumni/current student
2) Check your local library and see if they can offer interlibrary services. They may be able to do this for you at a reduced cost.

Do you know why fees would not support tripsaver service after graduation nor why tripsaver is not offer to the public , but interlibrary loan is offer to at your local library?
