I thought about doing this a few weeks ago too.

Airfare and hotel (at a 4 star hotel on the strip) came to ~$300

But I figured I'd spend about $500+ more on food/drinks, entertainment, and gambling.



I say dont do it if you're already iffy on the money situation. I mean, I could "afford" it, but I'd rather save that $800.

4 days means quite a few meals in Vegas, and that is going to be expensive, no matter how little you eat. alcohol is also $texas, and contrary to rumor, they don't just bring you tons of free drinks while you're gambling. at the higher dollar tables, sure. but at the cheaper tables, and at the slots, most casinos we encountered did not come around offering free drinks.

you will spend $500 on airfare/hotel and probably another $500 on food/alcohol/gambling.

sooo can you afford that? if so, then go for it. Vegas is a really great time

see, i got addicted to roulette within 24hrs of landing in vegas. and roulette isn't the best game if you're looking to make a killing. i mean, my husband and i together only went down about $100 overall from gambling over 4 days (mostly on roulette) - but still, a loss is a loss.
