Just wanted to post this here to see what sorta response I get. Ive had this cat for I would guess 3.5 years or so. It was originally bought for my girlfriend at the time who upon leaving left the cat with me and up until now I have been alright with looking after it. I am preparing to move into a nicer place and well unfortunately a cat does not fit into my plans at this time.
She has been an indoor cat since I have had her and not sure how she would transition to outdoors. She is pretty shy around new people but once she gets to know you she warms up. She has not been spayed and as for shots I honestly have no clue. As for being around other cats she is definitely not the dominant type she pretty much always rolls over or runs away so you should not expect her to terrorize any other cats. Never been around dogs so no clue there.
I would like to find her a new home where she can live in more than just a small room all the time and with someone who has a little more time and experience with animals. If you have any questions feel free to PM me I just dont want her to end up at some place where they will just off her .
This is her:

Maybe it's the angle of the photo or something, but that cat looks almost emaciated. How much does she weigh? 1/16/2010 8:51:14 AM |

She is fairly slender and has always looked that way I dont know if its because Ive always fed her strictly indoor cat food or what but no she is definitely not pudgy like a lot of cats I have seen haha 1/16/2010 9:07:01 AM |

Does she has claws? 1/16/2010 7:51:34 PM |

Yes she has claws and to be honest I have never taken her to the vet. Im one of those people who feel and animal is an animal if it seems happy and doesnt appear to be sick then well I'm not spending my money on it just because. This may be another reason she would be better off somewhere else. 1/17/2010 8:10:39 AM |

wow. poor cat. i hope you dont plan to have kids! "oh they dont loooook sick, so who cares about their neccessary vaccines and checkups. we'll wait until they start throwing up blood or something extreme"
i just took my new dog to the vet 2mths ago, a few days after i got him. he didnt look or seem sick to me, but the vet said he had parvo, it was really bad, and had i waited two more days to bring him to the vet, he would have died. now imagine if i didn't take him to the vet just because i was assuming his health based on his looks? he would have died.
sorry if this comes off bitchy, but, why bother having pets if you cant take care of them?? its not like they can call up the vet themselves and schedule an appointment to be taken care of...they rely on their owners. YOU. the owner.1/19/2010 2:48:54 PM |

Ummm...He is trying to give the thing away; or did you miss that little point?

Most of us don't treat animals as kids because, quite frankly, they're not kids. You can't just go to a pound and pick up a new kid if the old one has to be put down.

It is very difficult to adopt and many people don't qualify for various reasons. Hence all the private adoption agencies and people getting them from overseas. On the other hand, I could have a cat by the end of the day if I wanted one. 1/19/2010 3:42:11 PM |

yes i did see that "little point", and im glad hes trying to find a home for the cat. better late than never. but the "little point" im trying to make is he shouldnt have had it for 3 and a half years if it wasnt going to be properly taken care of.1/19/2010 6:35:46 PM |

I give her food and water and toys to play with and a warm place to sleep at night. Im sorry if I am not the type of person who is willing to spend large amounts of money on an animal. This is the reason I am looking to give her away to someone I know will take better care of her. Its not like I beat the poor thing or starve her. If it makes you feel better I also dont goto the doctor unless I feel the need which is why I havent been in probably 10 years. I dont get sick and feel healthy so why bother. Anyways, I have other people looking out for good homes for her but she must be out by the 21st of February or I will have to look into other alternatives . 1/19/2010 7:19:23 PM |

Not having her spayed greatly increases her chances of mammary cancer. Do you also avoid preventative things for yourself like brushing your teeth or eating a relatively balanced diet?1/21/2010 7:35:09 PM |
Doss2k All American 18474 Posts user info edit post |
I think a better example would be do I have preventative stuff done like having my balls removed to avoid testicular cancer or having my appendix removed in case it might burst later on. Which I have done neither. 1/21/2010 8:38:03 PM |

It seems like someone told me if you have an all white cat with blue eyes that it will be blind or something like that, not sure how much truth was in that. Also I have found a person interested will see how that goes.

Albinos and commonly deaf and/or blind. 1/22/2010 12:12:38 PM |
jersey86 Suspended 1332 Posts user info edit post |
that cat has gold eyes, not blue, and if this person has had this cat for the past 3 years, they would probably know if it was deaf.
also, an albino animal has pink eyes, not blue....just because its all white does not make it albino. 1/22/2010 1:17:14 PM |
