In other words, the reason the President's poll numbers are dropping isn't because he has failed to meet many of his own legislative milestones, or that voters are reasonably unhappy with the things he has accomplished, or even that the President set an overly optimistic set of tasks for himself.

The American people are a bunch of short-sighted "ninnies"... but that article is just stupid. Obama's numbers are low because he hasn't accomplished much of what he promised and has continued many Bush policies.

This guy is approaching it as though the thoughtlessness of the American public is preventing politicians from getting anything done... instead of that thoughtlessness being a huge reason why the system is as corrupt and bloated as it is.

^^^except obama has kinda done the opposite for the most part. at least when compared to our last few presidents. of course there's some populist BS thrown in every once in a while, but obama has been willing to talk about substance often. and at nearly every turn he's emphasized that significant change is not easy.
