i would not have posted on here asking for help if it was as easy as googling. i've tried that. lots of those pages that come up on the google search are spam, or are directions for a different kind of computer. 1/22/2010 1:30:28 PM |

download malwarebytes, install malwarebytes, update malwarebytes, run quick scan, view results, remove selected. May need to go into safe mode if it won't let you open it. If that doesn't work format c: 1/22/2010 1:32:21 PM |

it IS as easy as googling. well, true enough you have to follow the instructions that google provides for you, but that's trivial for anyone who's comfortable with computers.
if you have googled, and followed said steps, you haven't mentioned anything about it, so we can only assume you haven't done anything google is telling you to do.
the link that grandmaster provided, which is also the first result from google, should take care of it, and there are many others to choose from.
we don't have magic wands here, you have to do some work yourself (or find someone who can).]1/22/2010 1:45:12 PM |

Before you go formatting I would have suggested trying another malware removal program like Superantispyware. But my first stop is ALWAYS Malwarebytes. 1/22/2010 2:46:09 PM |

I've become so lazy I don't even run Malwarebytes first anymore. I just go straight to ComboFix. 1/22/2010 5:25:43 PM |
