I can't decide who to support this year. I've always backed Ferrari, and have favored Mercedes...
But now that Schuey is at the wheel for Mercedes....tough call. 1/25/2010 9:26:33 AM |

Brawn and Schumacher should be interesting. See what they can both do.
I guess no refueling makes it one less thing to worry about.

Shell will probably have an ad campaign in Europe about fuel consumption based on no refueling in F1. Something along the lines of
800hp other car specs of F1
only one tank............only one fuel.........SHELL
I really should make ad campaigns it is that easy...... 1/29/2010 8:20:35 AM |

Quote : | "Report: Rumors swirl about possible demise of USF1 team
A recent report out of Spain suggests that the USF1 team won't make it to the starting grid in Bahrain and that the team's chances of making it to the next two races are in question, putting the entire season in jeopardy. To make matters worse, rumors are circulating that one of the team's principle backers – YouTube founder Chad Hurley – has pulled his support from the Formula One upstart and that Brian Bonner, a former IndyCar driver and the team's head of business development, is no longer working for the firm, taking a co-director position at B4 Marketing.
It's been some time since we've heard any word from the team, beyond the announcement that Argentinian touring car driver Jose Maria Lopez has been tapped to handle driving duties. The lack of a second driver, along with rumblings that former YouTuber Hurley is considering backing the Campos team or Stefan GP doesn't help matters. And to muddy the waters further, the USF1's headquarters are apparently up for sale, suggesting something's rotten in Denmark Charlotte, and validating Bernie Eccelstone's earlier predictions about the team's troubles." |

Toyota 2007 F1 car and bigfoot will be at the new Firestone in Garner, which is the same parking lot area as the new Walmart
I will stop by (it is literally on the way home) and take some pics if it is worth it. 2/27/2010 10:39:16 AM |

actually it was the 2006 spec car. It had Truli and *Glock* listed on it, I called that out to the guy in charge. He was impressed that someone in Garner knew who drove the car in 2006.
It was Trulli and Schumacher- Ralf.
I got some cool detail shots I will post once I have a chance. 2/28/2010 8:17:58 AM |

Apparently I am not gonna root for Ferrari this year. Oh, not a big fan of Shumi either.
Without Raikkonen, I will root for Kubica and Vettel. It looks like new teams will be a big problem in 2010 season. They are so slow. Look at HRT... they are HORRIBLE. I don't know how they can race without ANY tests. Literally they are still building their machines.

Watched the race last night (thank you DVR)...
Impressive driving by Vettel as well as both Ferraris. It's unfortunate that he was down on power towards the end due to a cracked header.
Really looking forward to this season
Anyone heard any further word on USF1 team? During the race they said they "failed to make the grid". Well, did they not meet some requirement or did they not submit to enter due to a lack of funding?
